Jimmy and Martin Talk Doctor Who

As a special bonus episode born out of busyness, Jimmy and Martin have an off-the-cuff, unedited chat about the future of Doctor Who given the news of the upcoming departure of Jodie Whittaker and showrunner Chris Chibnall. This came out of a recording of Fringe Division and Jimmy is going to be out of town, so couldn't edit an episode on time, so we're releasing this. Contains strong language and strong opinions.

So, What's the Problem? Delirious (1991)

It's Jimmy's pick and it's one he used to watch on VHS a lot. Is it any good? Did Jen watch it for the first time or had she seen it and forgot? Like she had forgotten a certain movie we have covered on the podcast already? Tangents include spoiler-free talk about the movie Freaky.  In two weeks, it's the start of Animated Movie Month on So, What's the Problem? Find out what is first at the end of this episode. Exciting! Contains strong language.

Bad taste, sure, but that reaction is fucking great...

So, What's the Problem? Return to Oz (1985)

An 80s movie not picked by Jimmy? I mean... what???? This curio from Disney often gets misidentified as a sequel to The Wizard of Oz (1939) but it's actually an adaptation of a couple of the books that were sequels to the novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900). Got that? Good. This week, Jimmy struggles with his feelings about the movie and Jen faces a childhood trauma. Contains strong language.

Holy shit, Disney!

So, What's the Problem? Crocodile Dundee (1986)

It's a childhood favourite of Jimmy's again and one that Jen had never seen until the day of recording. So, strap in, folks, hot takes abound including one about the original Ghostbusters movie and our two hosts disagreeing about a character. Or two. Listen to the end to hear what movie is next. Contains strong language.

The only part of this movie anyone remembers...

Fringe Division: 2.2- Night of Desirable Objects

Episode two of season two and we say goodbye to a new character... wait, what? We get into ever so slight spoilers but only about whether a future Duchess comes back or not but we felt as though we had to. Also, the usual references to Buffy and Star Trek but oddly not the X-Files, which this episode of Fringe is clearly reminiscent of. We're just idiots. Contains strong language.

So, What's the Problem? - Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999)

It's a dark comedy teen movie from the 90s time, so guess who picked this? Jimmy and Jen talk about the cast, Jen's love for a certain actress (or two) and Jimmy gets educated on something. Stay tuned until the end to hear what movie Jimmy has picked for next week. And yes, it's from the 1980s. Contains strong language and adult themes in the context of satire.

Fringe Division- 2.1: A New Day in the Old Town

We're back with Fringe season 2, baby!!! Sure, we're a month late but illness is a bitch. We say goodbye to one character and hello to a new one played by a future Duchess. We also tangent about a friend's obsession with a particular Royal while Jimmy apparently has an obsession with a British boyband from the 1980s. And Martin namedrops Star Trek. We really are back!

The Labyrinth (1986) Problem

We're back, happy 2024! Jimmy and Jen ring in the New Year with a discussion on a childhood fave of the former. Is it a whimsical fanta...
